At the present time Olive Grove is without a full-time Senior Pastor. Currently our church is being led by an Interim Pastor - Dr. Ned Mathews. He comes to us from Southeastern Seminary and served many years as pastor of a church in Durham and other locations as well as being a Professor Emeritus at the Seminary. He and his wife Shelby just joined our fellowship and will serve as Interim until God leads our church in finding the right full-time leader.

John Monderen, Youth Minister
Aloha Mahalo Ke Akua, (Hello and Praise be to God) As the Youth Pastor/Evangelist of Olive Grove Baptist Church I would like to welcome all Youth to join us for fellowship and spiritual growth. I have a desire to train up the youth to learn more of what God has spoken through His infallible word the Holy Bible. My hope is to build a relationship for a lifetime with each youth and their families at Olive Grove and the surrounding communities. The Lord has truly blessed me with my wife, Jennifer, She is a Godly woman - the Proverbs 37 woman who is the Love of my life. We have been together for 16+years and the Lord has blessed us with 5 wonderful children, Johnny Jr. Jordan, Julianna, James and Jesse. In August of 2006, we answered the call to attend Southeastern Baptist theological seminary in Wake forest, NC in hopes to be able to serve the Lord wherever he leads. My wife and I both have a heart to serve in the mission field of Africa, and know the Lord is preparing us daily for a day when He calls us overseas. We flew from Hawaii to Seattle WA., bought a 4x4 vehicle and a camper trailer then drove for 38 days across the U.S. to Wake Forest. We were so blessed to drive through Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico then across the southern states to North Carolina. During this time we were able to see much of the Lord’s creation. We currently reside in Granville County while following the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. When in Matthew 28:19 Jesus said, “Go ye therefore into All the World and make disciples” He didn’t say it as a suggestion He meant it as a commandment. I look forward to being of service to all youth and their families. Evangelism is a passion of mine that Jesus Christ has laid on my heart; I live daily with a desire for the things of God seeking the Lord with all my heart, Soul, Mind and strength in service to Jesus the Christ daily through Faith. God Bless each of you. In Christ Service, Rev John Monderen
